Day 1d of the WSOP Main Event has been completed. 1,362 players survived the day. All told there have a been a total of 6,844 players who entered the Main Event this year. There will be a break in the action for today as the Main Event takes the day off. Action will resume on Tuesday, with Day 2a getting underway.
Notable bustouts on the day were: Chuck Liddell, Annie Duke, Andy Bloch, Jennifer Tilly, Phil Ivey, Vinny Vinh, Paul 'Eskimo' Clark, Chris Ferguson, Karina Jett, Dario Minieri, Todd Brunson, Michael Mizrachi, Layne Flack, and Cyndy Violette.
Folks who are still in running for the top spot: Victor Ramdin, David Oppenheim, Carlow Mortensen, Gus Hansen, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, Jennifer Harman, Phil Gordon, Hevad Khan, Chip Jett, Allen Cunningham, and Howard Lederer.
