Geometry

The criteria to be a teacher is somewhat simple in my mind and takes two things. #1 like kids. #2 have the ability to teach. It's pretty straight forward, really. I can assure you within the coming days she and I will have words. I've done some homework of my own, and am finding an alarming number of kids are having enormous difficulties in her class. She doesn't want to be bothered with questions, and fails to do little more than read the book to the class. Seldom does the chalk touch the board. Sorry lady (i'm being nice) math doesn't work that way. You'll be hearing from me, and several of my enlisted fellow complainants. It may all fall on deaf ears, but you will endure it nonetheless.

So, rant aside, I spent a few hours this evening relearning among other things geometric, the Pythagorean theorum, and then teaching it ALL to my daughter. I do my 40+ hours a week, and don't really have the time to do the job of a math teacher as well. Okay, rant not quite over, I guess...

Invitation email for NDPT Poker Tournament #14 has been emailed out folks, begin your RSVP-ing!

Uncle Jun(ior) I just wanted to say that I still hate you. You headed off for Cross Lanes (Tri-State Racetrack and Casino) poker room again, this evening and have texted me a few times to rub it in further. Despite my jealousy, I hope Lady Luck's on your side tonight.

In closing... remember "pie r round, cake r square."
