On May 1st Gans was found dead at the age of 52. He was said to have died in his sleep. In the article above, the coroner's report says that Gans died of a "toxic reaction to medication..." The entertainer had been taking the prescription drug hydromorphone, commonly known as Dilaudid for chronic back pain. The coroner does go on to say that Gans' death was not a case of drug abuse.
Danny Gans was a prominent headliner/entertainer in Las Vegas and was easily one of the most recognized faces on the Vegas strip, as he was shown on numerous marquees and billboards. He will be missed...
