WSOP 2009 Events 13 & 14 winners, updates of 15-19

The winner of Event 13 - $2,500 No Limit Hold'em is Keven 'Stamdogg' Stammen. After 3 days of battle and besting a field of 1,088 players, he walks away with the WSOP bracelet and top prize payout of $ 506,786! Congratulations!

And in Event 14 - $2,500 Six-handed Limit Hold'em, the winner is Brock Parker who takes home his first WSOP bracelet and $223,688 top prize. In doing so, he took on "heads up" one of the best in the poker business, Daniel Negreanu! While I'm sad to see that Daniel came up short, I don't want to sell Parker's victory short. This was an amazing win and he is to be congratulated.

Event 15 - $5,000 No Limit Hold'em completed its Day 2 and returns today when the final 17 of 655 players will battle it out for the win. Currently Isaac Baron is seated with the largest chip stack, in a close 2nd is David Pham.

After 2 days of play in Event 16 - $1,500 Seven Card Stud, we are down to the final 8 of 359 players. Currently Jeff Lisandro is in the top spot, but a quick look at the remaining players reveals some tough customers and other stacks to contend with, including currently in 3rd John Juanda.

146 of the starting 1,060 ladies remain in Event 17 - $1,000 Ladies World Championship. Currently in the chip lead, is Tamara Tibbles. Some of the recognizable names still in the running include: Svetlana Gromenkova, JJ Liu, Susie Isaacs, Maria Ho, Erica Schoenberb, and Karina Jett.

133 of 179 players remain in Event 18 - $10,000 World Championship Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better after Day 1 concluded. Lots of big names remain in this one, which will ultimately payout to the top spot.

Scheduled to get under way today is Event 19 - $2,500 Six-handed No Limit Hold'em. Following along on this and all the other events of the WSOP 2009 over at http://www.pokernews.com/live-reporting/.
