We have a winner in Event 11 - $2,000 No Limit Hold'em, Anthony Harb. He survived the field of 1,646 over a 3 day period. He takes home the bracelet and $ 569,199, for the effort. Congratulations!
And in Event 12 - $10,000 World Championship Mixed Event, our winner is Ville Wahlbeck, who bested a total field of 194 players. The feat wins him the bracelet and $492,375! He is said to have shed tears of joy immediately following the win. Congratulations! Huck Seed finished in 5th and Todd Brunson in 8th.
Day 3 of Event 13 - $2,500 No Limit Hold'em will get back underway today at 2:00pm PST, with 20 players remaining of the starting 1,088.
The final 11 of 367 players will return in Event 14 - $2,500 Six-handed Limit Hold'em, at 2:00pm PST today as well. Tommi Horkko is currently in the chip lead with 509,000 but not far behind in 2nd is none other than Daniel Negreanu.
Another 2:00pm PST start time is in store for Day 2 of Event 15 - $5,000 No Limit Hold'em. 164 players return of the initial starting 655 who started the event.
Event 16 - $1,500 Seven Card Stud 97 of 359 players remain in this one, for the Day 2 to get under way.
1,051 ladies showed up today for the start of Event 17 - $1,000 Ladies World Championship. I'll bet this one gets a little closer coverage by the PokerNews.com reporters and other crews as well! I'm betting more photo ops too!
One other event will get underway today at 5:00pm PST, which is Event 18 - $10,000 World Championship Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better. This is one of my favorite events, because the game really intrigues me. I always like playing it online... but can see it taking a lot of thought and insight to play well live.
Stay Tuned for all the latest!
