Your winner of Event 36 - $2,000 No Limit Hold'em is Jordan Smith, having stood the test of three days of poker and besting the 1,695 player field. He takes home a cool $586,212, and WSOP gold bracelet. Congratulatons to him.
Event 37 - $10,000 World Championship Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8-or-better brings us yet another of those double plays, seeing Jeffrey Lisandro take down his 2nd bracelet of the 2009 WSOP. It has been a good year for the doubles so far. This one adds an additional $431,656 to Lisandro's pocket and another bracelet for the other wrist.
Event 38 - $2,000 Limit Hold'em is back under way today, just a few minutes ago, the final 9 of 446 starters came back to play. Currently the chip lead belongs to Marc Naalden. Stay tuned.
Event 39 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em is back for its Day 2 of play. 327 players have returned of the whopping 2,715 who started yesterday. Still a lot of poker to play.
Event 40 - $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Omaha finds currently only 116 of the 295 still in play. Only the top 27 will payout, with a juicy $679,379 top spot to the top gun. Currently Noah Schwartz is on top of the pack but dangerously close behind him is Barry Greenstein. I won't even try to name ALL of the other pros that you can recognize in this one. Go check it out for yourself over at PokerNews.com!
Day 1 of Event 41 - $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Shootout got underway at noon PST... little else I can say at this point. I'll have to watch along with the rest of you.
Finally, later today Event 42 - $2,500 Mixed Event will begin at 5pm PST to round things out for us for the day.
