WSOP 2009 event 32 & 33 winners, updates for 34-37

Event 32 - $2,000 No Limit Hold'em has come to a close, and the last man standing of the 1,534 players who began the journey, we have now only Angel Guillen. He claims his first ever WSOP bracelet and $530,548. Congratulations. This year's series seems to be all about "double-takes" or at least good things coming in two's. Brock Parker and Phil Ivey going for 2 bracelets. And in this case Guillen finished 2nd to Keven Stammen in Event #13 just a few days ago. Whatever it is... I'm for it. The WSOP has been exciting even from my vantage point, on the other side of the country...

Event 33 - $10,000 World Championship Limit Hold'em brings us a winner you'll recognize... Greg 'FBT' Mueller. He bested a tough field of 185 players to bring home WSOP gold and $460,836 for the effort. Congratulations to him. Some other notable cashes in the event include Daniel Alaei, Maria Ho, Jennifer Harman, Todd Brunson, and Howard Lederer.

21 of the starting 2,095 players remain in Event 34 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em. The players will return at 1:00pm today to finish things off. Some of the notable names still in the field include Roland "hungry like" De Wolfe, Bertrand Grospellier, and Young Phan.

In Event 35 - $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha, 64 players remain of the 363 who started things off. Only the top 36 will see a payday. A few notable names remain in this field, including Sorel Mizzi, Jeffrey Lisandro, and David 'Devilfish' Ulliott. I could name more, but all of these are within the top 10 chipstack vicinity.

Event 36 - $2,000 No Limit Hold'em and Event 37 - $10,000 World Championship Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8-or-better will get underway today at noon and 5:00pm PST respectively.
