WSOP 2009 Event #6 winner, updates for 7-10

Event 6 - $10,000 World Championship Seven Card Stud has a winner! Freddie Ellis just over an hour ago became the champion besting a field of 142 players. He takes home the WSOP bracelet and $373,744 for his trouble! Congratulations...

Event 7 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Day 2 came to a close with 33 players remaining of those 2,791 who started the event. Action will get under way in this one again today at 1:00pm. The top spot in this event will payout $666,853.

Event 8 - $2,500 No Limit Deuce to Seven Draw, Day 2 has completed, and only 7 of the starting 147 players remain. Most notably in this field (at least to me anyway) is Phil Ivey, who is currently sitting in 6th place in chip counts. 1st place pays out $96,361.

Event 9 - $1,500 Six-handed No Limit Hold'em has completed Day 1, 1,459 players begin this ride... and reports from the PokerNews.com team hint that about 1,300 have already been eliminated. Top prize is $428,259... A total of 144 spots payout.

Event 10 - $2,500 Pot Limit Hold'em/Omaha, ended its Day 1 in favor of some sleep as well, finally about an hour ago. Approximately 104 of the starting 453 players remain in this competition. 45 spots payout, and the top spot is worth $244,862.

Event 11 - $2,000 No Limit Hold'em and Event 12 - $10,000 World Championship Mixed Event will get under way today. Thanks again to the PokerNews.com Live Reporting staff!
