WSOP 2009 winners events 47, updates for 48-51

Event 47 - $2,500 Mixed Hold'em started with 527 players, and has now crowned its champion Bahador Ahmadi. He takes home the WSOP gold and $278,104 to boot. Congratulations.

Event 48 - $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better is down to 6 players of the 762 who started the event. Currently on a nice chip lead is Brandon Cantu. This one will come to a close later on this evening. One lucky winner will walk away with the $228,867 top prize.

Event 49 - $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E. 91 players remain of the 95 who started this event. With a pricetag this high, you know the player field is going to for the most part recoginized pros.

Day 2 of Event 50 - $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout is underway and 64 of the starting 572 remain.

2,781 players showed up to take part in Event 51 - $1,500 No Limit Hold'em, about 1,000 of them have been sent to the rail in the first 3 rounds of play.
